One layer, Clean and Simple

This is a fun card that I cased the technique from Dawn Griffiths again; here is a link to the video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60hBONREyfk&feature=player_embedded

she and I have similar styles/tastes I guess.

It's very impressive in real life. I used Whisper White card stock, Orchid Opulence classic ink, the scallop trim border punch and the "With All My Heart" stamp set.

Hope you enjoy and will try this technique.

Have a great day!

Last of Easter....finally!

Here are the last of the Easter items I created this year. I think this is a shortened version on the fancy favor box that I used the Eyelet Border Punch on for the edges of the box and handle and the DSP trim, Tea Party. I needed something to make a quick simple basket for treats, it was very effective and doesn't need to be used only for Easter could be for any special treat.

This next basket is from the Big Shot Die, Baskets and Blooms, I used an Embossing folderon it before putting together, to give it some texture and then embellished it with a punched bunny on
the front and back so you can see him coming and going. He is a compilation of several bunnies I have seen over the season this year. I stamped a tag from the Eggcoutrements set and tied it on with linen thread after putting an eyelet in it. I also used a sparkly brad for his tail for lack of a pom-pom.

2nd half ....

These are the projects that make up the second part of the "Hibernate Until Spring Class". This uses the Eggcellent Egg kit, the Extra Large two step Bird punch and the tiny tag punch all from the Occasions Mini. Jackie Topa really out did herself with this class, it's fun and easy.

This first project is a note card holder, 4x4 cards in a holder made from the punches, bashful blue and whisper white card stock. The sentiments are from the Well Scripted set.

The next card uses The rub-ons in the Eggcellent Eggs kit and the rhinestone jewels in it, as well as the bird punch again. Adding some Whisper White Organza ribbon sets it off. I used a stamp from the tiny tags set for the sentiment.

Hope you enjoyed this, I will post more from this class as I complete them.

Thanks for stopping by.

Easter is past.....

Here are a couple of cards I made for Easter as well. I used a class I purchased from Jackie Topa called Hibernate until Spring. It's a 10 week class that uses the Eggcellent Eggs kit in the Occaisions Mini catalogue. Cards stock for this class is Soft Subtles
These are from the first week.

The first card uses the Two Step Bird punch (wings) to create the flowers; very simple but fun. The flower centers are from the kit.

The next card uses the dots embossing folder, some parts from the kit and stamped image from the Eggcoutrements set some punches and the sentiment for both is from the Well Scripted set.

This is only half of the first week I will post the other half soon.

Abundant Hope, Easter Blessings

I can't believe it's been so long since I posted, so sorry!! I've had these pictures in my camera and forgot about them. After Easter we ran away for a few days and then coming back to work had me busy, busy so that's my excuse.

These are some cards I made using the Abundant Hope Stamp set from the current Occaisions Mini along with the Scallop Trim Border punch, Embossing folders and ribbon. The coloring was done with a blender pen and ink so easy to do and once stamped the images are so simple to color.

I have more to share so come back soon to see; I promise it won't be as long between posts.

Green Beauty!

This pretty card was created using a Certainly Celery card base, the Sweat Pea DSP that was in the Occaisions mini catalogue, the Beautiful Wings embosslit and the new Satin Ribbon. The button is from the Playground button collection in the IBC and the sentiment from the stamp set "With All My Heart". It is a very simple elegant card if I do say so my self.

Thanks for stopping by,
I hope you all have a great holiday weekend!
